The Center for International Comparative Education (ICE) at Bowling Green State University facilitates an international scholarship of engagement through cross-cultural/international interdisciplinary research, instructional enhancement and outreach among faculty, students and communities for purposes of improving education and the social condition at home and abroad. Research, instruction and outreach projects of ICE feature an educational focus to research or social problems, an international or cross-cultural emphasis, an interdisciplinary approach and an emphasis on strengthening education, social well-being and development globally.

The Comparative Education Instructional Materials Archive (CEIMA) is a new ICE project, and is linked to the Comparative and International Education Course Archive Project at the Center for Comparative Education at Loyola University Chicago. CEIMA will collect and post on an ICE web-based archive comparative and international education teaching materials from universities worldwide toward the goals of enhancing instructional practice, facilitating inter-university dialogue, and documenting the dynamic and evolving nature of the field. Toward these ends, The ICE Center at Bowling Green State University invites all university faculty and instructors to submit descriptions and explanations of in-class activities, paper and presentation assignments, small-scale ethnographic research projects, and other innovative instructional materials along with accompanying course syllabi. Faculty and instructors will have the opportunity to provide linkages to their homepages, departments and universities via the archive.
