ICE Center Faculty and Advisory Board members support the importance of school collaborations and consultancies to aid schools in Ohio with their internationalization efforts. We have recently partnered with two schools in Northwest Ohio: Maumee Valley Country Day School (MVCDS) and Toledo School for the Arts (TSA). Administrators at Maumee Valley Country Day School (MVCDS) are members of the ICE Advisory Board and participate in shaping ICE Center goals and initiatives. In addition, the MVCDS has created and sustained a Global Education Program that prepares students to be global leaders and engages the school community and greater Toledo in international issues through wide-ranging and nonpartisan programming. Teachers at Toledo School for the Arts (TSA) traveled with ICE Core Faculty to the Kingdom of Bahrain and Kingdom of Jordan in the Summer of 2008 to learn about Middle Eastern culture. The research team is currently developing ways to infuse information they learned about into current school curriculum. In addition, they are developing resources and activities to help them share what they learned about Middle Eastern culture with the students, parents, teachers, and administrators at TSA.
